Hi Chris!
Congrats on pulling off the redesign! It looks very sleek, and I'm fond of the way you placed the log there, huh. I read your journal and agree that orientation is an important design factor. I'd go further to say that when all the fun exploration on a site with a busy/whimsical layout is over, it tends to leave me all the more disappointed if there wasn't anything of interest to discover content-wise, i.e. I peeled back the layers and found little for my commitment.
I totally feel you on being so busy with finishing a web project (next to school/work) that it leaves your other interests hanging. I'm currently slowly emerging from a website productivity streak that has been going on since August, and I'm just exhausted and want to read books, catch up with manga licenses, play games and socialize!! Speaking of which, I haven't read Kanata Kara yet, but it looks so ADORABLE on your light index and DW profile that I need to get to it! (Same for your FE4 art!)
Also, this is really random, but when I first stumbled upon your DW and website a few weeks ago, and particularly when I saw Clavis (who I am not familiar with), I was like... "hold on I KNOW this guy...", followed by "what is the common denominator between Angelique and Castlevania???". See, back when I was playing online TCGs, I knew someone who was totally into both... and who made several sites and many beautiful layouts featuring them. Do you know of neo-romance.net?
I hope you've had a nice week and continue having fun with your website and your art, whether or not your visitors/audience make themselves known in the near future.
Lethe
Hello! First off, yes, I agree about the style-over-substance websites! When a site looks nice but I find it has no content, it's like, well why would I come back? In case they change their layout again? If the layout was very impressive and unique, maybe, but in most cases I can find layouts of the same aesthetic elsewhere. Speaking of, I do really like how your site looks! Plus the neo-romance sites too... I associate the look with very quality sites ran by few people and I'd love to imitate it, but I'm sure it'd require photo-editing and stuff. I have other things to do π Maybe some day... I can easily say that anyone who loves a sweet romance should really check out Kanata Kara. It's my favorite ever, but I'm really bad at wording why. I can only think to say that there's many, many little things and moments that show how much they love each other. And I'm glad you like my FE4 art!! I'd love to draw more; there's still ideas I had that I never got to explore publicly. And funny thing about neo-romance.net...!!! When I was in high school, I would love to visit their Castlevania site during computer class. It was my favorite place on the web, even. And last year when I discovered their Angelique site because I was getting into Angelique, I was like, "is it just me or is this domain familiar?" What a coincidence that they had sites for 2 of my obsessions. (If they had a Fire Emblem site they could've sustained me for years straight, because that was my obsession between the other 2 things.) It's one of those things that make me lament that I wasn't born 10 years earlier though π I don't meet many people that have my combination of interests. In fact, I don't meet ANY people that have my combination of interests; the cards fell so that I have taste like I'm a little older than I am, and my circles don't usually allow me to meet people in their 30s and 40s. (Although, small web stuff may change that?) Oh yeah, and it's crazy you found me on DW. I thought I was talking into the void there, but it's a reminder that people are out there ποΈ even if they say nothing. Many such cases! Thank you sooo so so much for visiting and for your thoughtful message, Lethe. I bookmarked your site so I remember to check out all the shrines in the future. Hope you have a great rest-of-your-week too! πππ

HI FRIEND YOUR WEBSITE IS SO COOL I HAVE VISITED MULTIPLE TIMES AND ONLY NOW SIGNING THE GUESTBOOK also what is your dreamwidth π
hi bo!! thank you very much :] https://elyusion.dreamwidth.org/ <- here it is :3
hey! i like your site, and i very much enjoyed your playground text, so thanks for publishing it there as a "could be autistic" adult with many similar stories of getting immediately overwhelmed in 'fun' environments as a kid, it cracked me up and felt really nostalgic. i'm pretty sure i felt the same about those things, although they were a lot rarer in my origin country. have a good day!
thank you so much for not only leaving a message, but also for enjoying my writing, which i have little confidence in! i never connected the story to autism, strangely enough. seems so obvious now, LOL. i'm glad someone related to my little memoir. i hope you have a great week, and again, thank you so so much πππ
Hello, I've added you to my cool sites page!
